Unbelievable! ... http://byteless.posterous.com/chinas-new-rail-system-unbelievable http://byteless.posterous.com/chinas-new-rail-system-unbelievable

China's new rail system sure makes Canada 's rail system look pretty obsolete, but in China they have the population numbers to support the huge expense.

Does anyone still doubt that China is heading towards becoming a Mega super power

in a decade or two?  No doubt at all.

Att11

Beijing-Shanghai high-speed rail. Beijing departure station

The train speed is 350 km/hr

The crew to board the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed train.

The crew staff are preparing food.

The trains have 1st class, business and VIP cars, as well as economy class of course.
There are also dedicated disabled areas, wheelchair accessible bathrooms and corridors.

HOW DID THEY DO THIS?

THEY COPIED THE US IDEAS OF THE 40 & 50'S AND COMBINED THEM WITH TODAY'S TECHNOLOGY.

What do you think ?

Made in China with our money from all our "Made in China " purchases?

Despite a warning from a British CID of a plot to assassinate Jinnah during this ride, the program proceeded on schedule. Mountbatten joined Jinnah on this ride from Victoria Road till Government House. The ride was most tense when passing through a Hindu neighbourhood which had little to rejoice and where the plotters were supposed to act. On reaching Government House, Jinnah kept his hand on Mountbatten's thigh and remarked, 'Thank God I brought you back alive'. 'I brought you back alive' retorted Mountbatten. Later on it was learnt that one of the conspirators lost his nerve at the crucial time. Did someone say Advani?

Justice Munir deals a death blow to Pakistan's judiciary... When Governor General Ghulam Muhammed dismissed the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan in 1954, the Sindh Chief Court declared his action ultra vires of the constitution. However under a lure of Deputy governor General ship offered to Justice Munir he validated the order under the Doctrine of Necessity and dealth a death blow to the judiciary. Subsequently sodomy cases were filed against the honourable judges of the Sindh Chief Court except Cornelius, who ruled against the Governor General.

Shameful indeed. One of the judges sent off his son to London for studies. He became Dean and Rector of the Aga Khan University. And imagine that was 53 years ago and people took it lying down. Why is everyone so worked up now. Where was our nation's collective conscience in 1954.

Money bags

This year, July has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays. This happens
once every 823 years. This is called money bags. So, forward this to
your friends and money will arrive within 4 days. Based on Chinese
Feng Shui. The one who does not forward.....will be without money.

Kinda interesting - read on!!!

This year we're going to experience four unusual dates.

1/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/1/11, 11/11/11 and that's not all...

Take the last two digits of the year in which you were born - now add
the age you will be this year,

The results will be 111 for everyone in whole world. This is the year of
the Money!!!

The proverb goes that if you send this to eight good friends money will
appear in next four days as it is explained in Chinese FENGSHUI.

Those who don't continue the chain won't receive.......

Its a mystery, but it's worth a try. good luck. "I GET BY GIVING"

Mon, 14 Mar 2011 10:46:41 -0700 Japan Tsunami http://byteless.posterous.com/japan-tsunami http://byteless.posterous.com/japan-tsunami

The big pictures: The moment Japan's cataclysmic tsunami engulfed a nation

Japan was today plunged into chaos after a cataclysmic earthquake sent merciless tsunami waves rushing through its helpless streets.

The unforgiving tide of water unleashed after one of the biggest quakes in recent history obliterated tens of thousands of buildings, devouring almost anything in its path.

As the death toll soared, dozens more countries braced themselves for similar scenes of destruction as the full force of the mother nature powered through the Pacific ocean.

1unknownname

Stretching into the distance, waves caused by the tsunami pour over the coastline and rush inland swamping all before them. As the seawater passes over the land it mixes with the soil and begins to change colour to a dark brown

21unknownname

Helpless: A ship, dwarfed by the sheer size of the whirlpool, is drawn ever closer towards the vortex as is tossed about in the foaming waters off the port of Oarai, Ibaraki

30unknownname

Menace: Wave upon wave heads towards the coastline which has already been breached by an earlier onslaught

With fires and destruction all around him a man picks his way carefully though the rubble while (right) there's gridlocked in either direction in Sendai as people try to escape the coastal city

11unknownname

This extraordinary image shows how the quake split this road in Satte on the island of Honshu right down the middle

Two women in Urayasu city, Chiba, scramble up a road that was buckled by the force of the quake. Right, a young woman wells up and leans on her friend as the true scale of the disaster that has claimed the lives of hundreds of people becomes apparent

14unknownname

Collapsed: Three shocked employees look at what has become of the factory in Sukagawa city, Fukushima, where moments earlier they had been working

29unknownname

Raging seas: The tsunami pours through trees and engulfs homes on the coast of Natori, Miyagi Prefecture, after the earthquake struck

20unknownname

The same scene just moments later shows how the entire area with dozens of homes is completely obliterated by the unforgiving waters which swept away anything in their path. Bobbing about on the surface is all the debris the waters have picked up along the way

5unknownname

Swelling: The murky flow of mud and debris trapped in the tide of water washes over the tarmac car park at Sendai airport in northern Japan

12unknownname

Destruction: Tsunami tidal waves race upstream along the Naka river at Hitachinaka city in Ibaraki hours after the massive 8.9 magnitude quake struck this morning

Thu, 03 Mar 2011 05:41:40 -0800 The World's Biggest Family http://byteless.posterous.com/the-worlds-biggest-family http://byteless.posterous.com/the-worlds-biggest-family

The man with 39 wives, 94 children and 33 grandchildren
Ziona Chana lives with all of them in a 100-room mansion
His wives take it in turns to share his bed
It takes 30 whole chickens just to make dinner

He is head of the world's biggest family -
and says he is 'blessed' to have his 39 wives.

Ziona Chana also has 94 children,
14-daughters-in-law and 33 grandchildren.

They live in a 100-room, four storey house set amidst the hills of Baktwang village in the Indian state of Mizoram, where the wives sleep in giant communal dormitories.

The full Monty: The Ziona family in its entirety with all 181 members

You treat this place like a hotel: With 100 rooms the Ziona mansion is the biggest concrete structure in the hilly village of Baktawng

Mr Chana told the Sun: 'Today I feel like God's special child. He's given me so many people to look after. 'I consider myself a lucky man to be the husband of 39 women and head of the world's largest family.'

The family is organised with almost military discipline, with the oldest wife Zathiangi organising her fellow partners to perform household chores such as cleaning, washing and preparing meals.

One evening meal can see them pluck 30 chickens, peel 132lb of potatoes and boil up to 220lb of rice.

Coincidentally, Mr Chana is also head of a sect that allows members to take as many wives as he wants.

Feeling peckish? The senior ladies of the Chana family show what it takes just to make a meal

The wives and I: Mr Ziona Chana poses with his 39 wives at their home in Baktawang, Mizoram, India

He even married ten women in one year, when he was at his most prolific, and enjoys his own double bed while his wives have to make do with communal dormitories. He keeps the youngest women near to his bedroom with the older members of the family sleeping further away - and there is a rotation system for who visits Mr Chana's bedroom.

Rinkmini, one of Mr Chana's wives who is 35 years old, said: 'We stay around him as he is the most important person in the house. He is the most handsome person in the village. She says Mr Chana noticed her on a morning walk in the village 18 years ago and wrote her a letter asking for her hand in marriage.

Another of his wives, Huntharnghanki, said the entire family gets along well. The family system is reportedly based on 'mutual love and respect.' And Mr Chana, whose religious sect has 40,000 members, says he has not stopped looking for new wives.

'To expand my sect, I am willing to go even to the U.S. To marry,' he said. One of his sons insisted that Mr Chana, whose grandfather also had many wives, marries the poor women from the village so he can look after them.

Typical engineers found the problem but no solution!

Part IV

Part V

And Finally!

Have you ever wondered how a woman's brain works?
Well....it's finally explained here in one, easy-to-understand illustration:

C2823006
B

Every one of those little blue balls is a thought about something
that needs to be done, a decision or a problem that needs to be solved.

A man has only 2 balls and they take up all his thoughts.

Forward this to all the guys for a good laugh, and to all the ladies who have a good sense of humor.
